Little Rock Zoo offers an E-newsletter that can be sent to your email. This newsletter includes zoo news as well as discount coupons and promotions for cheap tickets that are only given to the E-newsletter subscribers.

Some area hotels that have hotel zoo packages also have discounted rates for guests.

A Senior rate is offered to all those 60 years of age and over.

There is an active duty Military discount, with valid ID, that will save you a couple dollars.

A group rate of $6 per person is offered for groups of 15 or more.  A boxed lunch can also be purchased for $4 a person. Reservations are required to receive the group rate and must be made at least 10 days in advance.

Membership offers free admission to the Little Rock Zoo all year as well as discounted or free admission to over 160 zoos in the United States, Canada and Mexico.  Two carousel and train ride tickets are included and discounts at Safari Trader Gift Shop, Café Africa, education programs and birthday parties. The membership also give members free parking at the zoo, two free guest passes a year and VIP status and admission discounts at special events.

If you are a member of another AZA zoo, you may qualify for discounted or FREE admission into this zoo.

About Little Rock Zoo

The Little Rock Zoo opened in 1926 with an abandoned timber wolf and a retired circus bear. It now features over 725 animals from more than 200 different species including many endangered species.  

This accredited Arkansas zoo has buildings for the primates, reptiles, birds and big cats. The great ape exhibit houses orangutans, chimpanzees and gorillas. There is also a Lemur Island exhibit and an African Lion exhibit. A children’s zoo, train, carousel and educational programs help round out your zoo experiences.

Little Rock Zoo offers special events throughout the year including breakfast with different animals. These include a buffet breakfast and a zoo keeper chat for a set price. Member usually receive a discount.

Guests of the Arkansas zoo can watch animals feeding throughout the day with participation in some feeding.  While you can participate in the Lorikeet and fish feeding, you can watch the great apes and alligators being fed.  

Regular Little Rock Zoo ticket prices are: Adults $12.95, Children (12 and under) $9.95 and children under 12 months are FREE.

Parking is $3 per vehicle. However, zoo members park for free.

Little Rock Zoo is open every day of the year with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Wheelchairs, electric scooters, wagons, strollers and double strollers can all be rented at the Safari Trader Gift Shop. Rents vary in cost from $7 to $25 a day. A small deposit is required on some items.

The zoo does not allow outside food and drink.
