About Brandywine Zoo

The Brandywine Zoo is located at Brandywine Park in Wilmington and has 13 landscaped acres. The AZA- accredited Delaware zoo is a smaller zoo with about 150 animals. However, it does have a nice variety of animals. You can see Bearded Dragons, clouded leopard, Ocelot, tamarins, Florida bobcat, river otters, capybara and many types of birds. One of the newest animals to make this zoo its home is a Siberian tiger.

Close Encounters of the WILD Kind offers close-up views of the wildlife and information from zoo staff. Daily Keeper Watching is an engaging talk from zoo keepers about the animals and the ways that keepers interact with them.  Story Time at the Zoo offers animal stories that are read to the children.  Crafts and other activities may also be offered at Story Time. The zoo asks that if you have more then four children, you let them know so they have enough supplies.
