AAA member can receive $1 Zoo Miami discount off regular admission prices for four people. Proper ID is needed.

The Miami zoo offers a group discount starting at ten people. The larger the group, the higher the discount.

The 2017 Entertainment book has a coupon for Zoo Miami. If you don't have a book or a mobile app, you can get one here.

A Zoo Miami Military discount of 50% off active personnel and 25% off retired personnel. Also 25% off regular admission prices on up to three additional family tickets. Proper military photo ID required.

Miami-Dade County Employees can get a Zoo Miami discount of $3 off regular adult or child admission for up to six people.

A Senior discount of 25% off is offered to those 65 and older with proper ID.

Sometimes the official website offers a Zoo Miami coupon code to get tickets online at a discounted rate.

If you are visiting a number of attractions, check out the Go Orlando or Go Miami Card.  Purchasers of this card can pay one price depending on the number of days they wish to visit attractions. They can then choose from about 35 attractions to get into FREE.  

Miami-Dade County Employees receive a discount off regular adult admission and regular child admission for up to four people. Photo identification and proof of employment are required at time of purchase.

Some hotels in the area, such as the Holiday Inn Express in Kendall, offer a Zoo Miami hotel package.

News of the zoo in Miami’s events or specials can be found on their Facebook or Twitter page, on the zoo’s website or in zoo literature.

Florida attraction maps and brochures often have a Zoo Miami coupon in them.  These can be found at tourist information centers, hotel lobbies, grocery stores and mass transit areas.

Zoo Miami memberships are available and can save you money if you go to the zoo at least a few times. Memberships include FREE unlimited admission to the Miami zoo, six Bring-a-Guest coupons for 50% off, FREE or discounted admission to over 100 zoos and aquariums throughout the United States, discounted admission to many South Florida museums and attraction, discounts on gift shops, food and beverages, rentals and educational programs.

Miami Zoo coupons, discounts, deals and specials are usually for a limited time and have an expiration date.

About Zoo Miami

Zoo Miami, formerly known as the Miami Metrozoo, is home to over 2,000 animals on 740 acres of land. At least forty of the animals are endangered species. At this unique Florida zoo, animals are in large, open-air exhibits. Zoo Miami offers a Diego Meet and Greet, Critter Corner and Meet the Zookeeper throughout the day.

This Florida attraction is divided into the following areas: Asian River, Komodo Dragon Encounters, Amazon and beyond, Australia and Dr. Wilde's World, an indoor discovery area.   

Some animals you will see at this zoo are Asian river otters, jaguars, harpy eagles, anaconda, koala, crocodile, red kangaroo, zebra, ostrich, gazelle, giraffes and more. 

This zoo offers a monorail to get around the zoo.  It has four stops and you can see many of the animals on the ride.

For an extra fee, camel rides, a wildlife carousel, tram ride with narratives and Safari Cycles are available in the zoo.


Zoo Miami Details

This Florida zoo is open every day of the year.

Zoo Miami hours are:  9:30am - 5:30pm, Thanksgiving Day: 9:30am - 3:30pm and Christmas Day: 12pm - 5:30pm.  Entrance and ticket booths close an hour and a half before zoo closing times.

The Aviary, Children's Zoo and Dr. Wilde's World are open from 10am - 5pm.

Regular Zoo Miami ticket costs are:  Adult (13+) $21.95, Child (3-12) $17.95 and Children 2 and under FREE.

Regular parking is FREE. Valet parking is available on weekends and holidays and is $8 per car.

No outside food and drink are allowed in the zoo with the exception of drinks and snacks in ziplock bags for infants and small children.  However, there are picnic grounds outside of the zoo gates.  You can leave your picnic lunch in the lobby of the administrative building and pick it up when you are ready to eat.
