July 23-29, 2018 - Heroes Week. All military personnel, police and corrections officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses and EMS personnel will receive FREE admission. All guests accompanying them receive admission at Kid's price. Proper ID must be shown at front gate.
August 20-26, 2018 - Teachers Week. All teachers, school staff and faculty receive FREE admission when proper ID is shown.
August 13-19, 2018 - YMCA Backpack Program - All guests who donate a new backpack full of school supplies receive a discount Six Flags Great Escape ticket.
September 30, 2018 - Bark in the Dark - One FREE admission per dog. The dog's family pays only a child's admission price per person. Guests who bring a dog treat, bone or toy can receive a Six Flags Great Escape discount.
If you have a Discover card, you can purchase Six flags Great Escape discount tickets online and receive 5% off your tickets. You can also receive a discount on items around the park that are purchased with your Discover card.
AAA Members receive a discount at Six Flags America with the “Show your Card and Save” deal. About Six Flags Great Escape
At Six Flags The Great Escape, there is sure to be something for the whole family to enjoy. This New York amusement park is made up of six different sections. The Feast Area is Bavarian themed with German style music played throughout this area. Here is where you will find the classic rides such as the Ferris wheel and the Swinging Ship.
Ghosttown has an old west theme. It includes the Spinning tower called The Condor and the log flume ride called Desperado Plunge. The International Village and Storytown is the next section found at Six Flags Great Escape. This section is decorated like old Storytown USA era and includes rides such as the Grand Carousel, a scenic train ride called Storytown Train, Swan Boats and an Alice in Wonderland walk-through that makes guests feel as if they are lost in Wonderland with Alice.
Timbertown and KIDZOPOLIS are the fourth and fifth sections in this Six Flags amusement park, both sections are specifically for kids and families to enjoy. The last area of Six Flags Great Escape is Splashwater Kingdom, which is a separate water park right next to Great Escape.

The park is open seasonally, mainly between May and October. In the Spring and Fall, the park tends to be open primarily on the weekends. In the Summer, the park is open throughout the week.
The park hours also vary seasonally. Longest hours are during the summer months and holidays such as July 4th.
Regular ticket prices are Adult $63.99 and Children 2 and under are FREE.
Parking is available for a fee.
No outside food and drink are allowed in the park with the exception of baby food or special diets. These foods need to be checked and marked at the front gate.
