March 17-25, 2018 - Spring Break. Every day during the Rolling Hills Zoo's Spring Beak: Go Wild event there will be special animal encounters and discounts at the gift shops along with restaurant specials.

March 24, 2018 - Easter Egg Hunt for children 12 and under. Admission is half off for Children 12 and under.

May 13, 2018- Mother's Day. Moms get into the zoo FREE with child.There will also be a $5.99 fried chicken restaurant special.

May 19, 2018 - Armed Forces Day. FREE Rolling Hills Zoo tickets admission for all active and retired military and their immediate family. A Overlook Restaurant Lunch Special will also be offered.

June 17, 2018 - Fathers Day at Rolling Hills Zoo. Dads get into the Zoo FREE with a child. A FREE car show is included with the price of Zoo admission.

August 12-13, 2017 and August 11 & 12, 2018 - Back to School Blast.  Half-price admission all weekend and $2 hamburgers.

September 23, 2017 and September 22, 2018- Public Safety Appreciation Day - Police, fireman, volunteer fireman, state troopers, sheriff officers, mounted patrol, EMS first responders, EMS staff and any other first responders and their immediate family will receive FREE Rolling Hills Zoo admission on this day with proper ID. Some restrictions may apply.

October 14, 2017 and October 13, 2018 - Pumpkin PaZOOla. Children 12 and under are half price with the purchase of adult admission. Children receive a FREE pumpkin until they run out and enjoy various activities throughout the day. Children wearing their Halloween costume will also receive a FREE gift.

Every Wednesday during the months of January and February in 2018, admission is half off. 

The zoo offers a Senior admission price for all those 65 and older.

A group discount is offer for groups of 15 or more people. Arrangements need to be made ahead of time.

A Military discount of 15% is offered to all with a proof of Military ID.

Local ads, newspapers and fliers may have coupons from time to time.

Rolling Hills Zoo announces zoo deals and specials on their Facebook and Twitter page.

If you have a membership to a different AZA accredited zoo, you will qualify for a discount at the Rolling Hills Zoo. You will need to show your membership card to receive the discount.

Rolling Hills Zoo Memberships include unlimited admission for one year, discounts on events and discounts for over 100 zoos and aquarium around the country.

Rolling Hills Zoo coupons, discounts, deals and specials may be for a limited time and may have an expiration date.

About Rolling Hills Zoo

The Rolling Hills Zoo is located in Salina, Kansas.  This beautiful, large zoo offers a home to over 120 species. Animals are housed in large areas and you will find lots of easy opportunities to see and photograph the animals.

Some of the animals you will see are African painted dogs, addax, anteaters, kangaroos, takin, Mandrills, cotton-top tamarins, lemurs, rhinos, camels, bears, lions, giraffes, tigers, leopards, chimpanzees, orangutans, reptiles and more.

This zoo also has a 64,000 square feet museum which proudly displays one of the world's premier collections of full mount animals wih over 200 animal species in naturalist dioramas covering seven ecosystems from around the world. The dioramas include live waterfalls, animatronic robots telling the story and landscaping. The museum also has the Hideaway Hallow Children's Exploration Place, the Earl Bane Gallery for special exhibits, a confernce center and the ADM education center.


Rolling Hills Details

The zoo is open every day of the year except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Hours for the zoo change throughout the year. In general, they are open 9 am to 5 pm. However, through the winter they close at 4 pm and through the summer they open at 8 am.

Regular admission prices are Adults $13.95, Children (3-12) $7, Seniors (65 and up) $12.95 and Children 2 and under are FREE.

A tram is available every day from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. And weekends only from Labor Day through Thanksgiving and April 1st through Memorial Day..  The cost for an All-Day pass is $3 per person.

Wheelchairs, single and double strollers and electric scooters are available for rent.

If you which to bring your own food, a picnic area is offered in the parking lot outside the zoo. It has a bathroom, water fountain, soda machine and a small play area.  You will need your hand stamped to get back into the zoo.

The Overlook Restaurant serves meals and snacks throughout the day. Soda vending machines are located throughout the park.

An air-conditioned dog kennel is available at no charge.
