June 3, 2017 - Be a Tourist in Your Own Town – Entrance to the zoo is FREE with a Be A Tourist passport with this Potter Park Zoo deal.

A senior rate is offered to guests ages 60 and up.

Local residents living in Ingham County can receive a discount Potter Park Zoo ticket.  Children’s rates are the same as non-residents.

Visiting the zoo from November thru March will help you save money as the rates are cheaper. 

You can sign up at the zoo’s website to have an e-newsletter sent to you.  In it you will find any Potter Park Zoo deals and zoo news.

A group rate will save you some money.  Reservations are needed.

Local newspapers or ads may have zoo coupons from time to time.

If you have a membership to another zoo, you may qualify for a discounted or FREE admission to the Potter Park Zoo.

Memberships include FREE admission to the zoo for one year, FREE or discounted admission to over 100 zoos and aquariums in the United States, members only event, discount at gift shop and more.

About Potter Park Zoo

Potter Park Zoo is located in Lansing, Michigan.  It is home to over 600 animals from over 160 species.  This Lansing zoo offers animals from around the world. Some of the features are a Farmyard where you will see some domestic animals, a Feline/Primate House that has lemurs and mandrills, a Bird and Reptile House, a Discovery Center, Ecology Center, Animal Clinic and Amphitheater.

Some of the animals you will see at this Michigan zoo are Amur tigers, red pandas, snow leopards, Golden Lion Tamarins, Chinese water dragon, bongos and black rhino.  The zoo also offers pony rides and camel rides through the summer.


Potter Park Zoo Details

The Potter Park Zoo is open every day of the year except for Christmas Day.

Zoo Hours are April 1 - Labor Day: 9:00am to 6:00pm, September 8 - October 31: 9am to 4pm Weekdays and 9am to 6pm Weekends, November 1 - March 31: 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Regular Potter Park Zoo ticket prices are Adult: $11, Senior (60 and up): $11, Children (3-12): $4 and Children under 3 years old are FREE.

Resident tickets are Adults: $6, Seniors: $5, Children: $4.

November - March tickets are Adults: $3 and Children: $2. 

Parking for non-residents is $5 or $3 for residents.

There is a park located near the zoo that has picnic tables and a playground. There is a restaurant and a couple of concessions stands located in the zoo. These serve your typical fast food fare as well as snacks and drinks.

Wheelchair rental is FREE.  Strollers are $5 and Electric carts are $4 for the first hour and $2 for each additional hour.  

A valid ID is required for all rentals.

Pony rides and camel rides are offered seasonally for an additional fee of $3-$4 each.
