May 27-29 & July 1-4, 2017 - The first 1,000 people to visit the Zoo receive a FREE patriotic gift. Extra activities are included with the price of admission.

September 2-4, 2017 - Labor Day Weekend. Gate gifts will be given out while supplies last. 

Visit the Omaha Zoo from October through April for a cheaper ticket price.

Seniors are offered a discount Omaha zoo ticket.

A military discount is given with the proper photo ID.

A discounted Military Membership is offered to active military, guard or reserve.

If you are planning on going to the IMAX theater too, a combo ticket will save you some money.

An All Day Rides Pass offers you all four rides throughout the day during a one-day visit. If you plan on going on them more than once, then you will save money with this.

Group rates are available for groups of 40 or more.  Three week advance notice will need to be given.

Local hotels often have a Omaha Zoo Hotel package.

If you have a membership to another zoo, you may qualify for a discounted zoo admission.

Memberships include FREE Omaha Zoo and IMAX admission for 12 months from the date of purchase, special events, discounted zoo classes, discounted or FREE admission to more then 100 zoo throughout the U.S.

Nanny's can receive a membership for a discount.  These memberships are good for an IMAX movie and Zoo admission only, and can be accompanying up to 6 children.

Omaha Zoo coupons, discounts, deals and specials are usually for a limited time and may have an expiration date.

About Omaha Zoo

Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo is located in Omaha Nebraska.  This AZA-approved zoo has thousands of animals on 130 acres of ground.  This award-winning zoo even has seven acres of indoor exhibits.  

The zoo has many large exhibits such as Expedition Madagascar, Desert Dome, Hubbard Gorilla Valley, Hubbard Orangutan Forest, Kingdoms of the Night, Lied Jungle and more.

Kingdoms of the Night has the day and night cycles reversed so you can see the nighttime activities of various animals. It has a canyon, a wet cave, a bat cave and an indoor swamp. This Nebraska zoo also has an IMAX theater and a Butterfly and Insect Pavilion.


Omaha Zoo Details

The Henry Doorly Zoo is open every day of the year except for Christmas Day.

Some exhibits are closed seasonally.

Hours for the zoo are 10am to 4am. Building exhibits are sometimes open until 5pm.

Regular Omaha zoo ticket prices from May through September are Adults $19.95, Children (3-11) $13.95, Seniors (65 and up) $18.95 and Children 2 and under are FREE. 

Regular Lozier IMAX Theater fees are $6 for ages 3 and up, ages 2 and under (and sitting on your lap) are FREE.

The zoo has some rides available at an additional cost. These are Skyfari, train, Sue’s Wildlife Carousel and a tram. 

They range in price from $2 to $5 per person per ride.

Food and drink can be brought into the zoo. However, there is no alcoholic drinks and no BBQ-ing.

Single and double strollers, wagons manual and electric wheelchairs are all available for rent at the Main Entrance Gift Shop. Fees run from $8 to $22 a day.

Parking is FREE.
