About National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium
The National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium includes two areas: the Mississippi River Center and the National River Center. Affiliated with the Smithsonian Institute, it is also accredited by AAM and AZA.
At the Iowa attraction, you will see both land and water animals such as giant catfish, sturgeon, ducks, otters, turtles and more. In addition, the park has items such as boats and a marsh area.
Permanent exhibits at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium include the Fred W. Woodward Riverboat Museum, National Rivers Hall of Fame, William M. Black steamboat, Pfohl Boatyard, William Woodward Discovery Center, RiverWays gallery, a 3D/4D theater and Woodward Wetlands. They also have temporary exhibits throughout the year.

The facility is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day and closes early on Christmas Eve.
Hours for the park are Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day: 9am - 6pm, Labor Day thru October 31st: 9am - 5pm,
November thru Memorial Day weekend: 10am - 5pm.
Regular ticket prices are Adults $15, Youth (3-17) $10, Senior (65 and older) $13, and 2 and under are FREE. Regular theater prices are $6 for one film and $9 for two. Members get a discount.
