A senior Franklin Park Zoo discount zoo ticket is offered to all 62 years of age and older.

Sometimes on the Friday after Thanksgiving, zoo admission is half-price during the hours of 10 am to 4 pm. Some restrictions apply.

About Franklin Park Zoo
Also known as Zoo New England, this zoo is home to over 1,000 animals from more than 220 species. It is inside Boston’s Franklin Park and part of the Emerald Necklace Park System.
This Boston Zoo is divided into major categories which include: Tropical Forest, Franklin Farm, Serengeti Crossing, Kalahari Kingdom, and Outback Trail. There are also some minor areas such as Tiger Tales and the African Wild Dog exhibit.
Tropical Forest is a must-see on your trip to this Massachusetts zoo. It contains over 50 species of animals including Western lowland gorilla, pygmy hippo, ocelots, pottos, free-flight birds and more.
Franklin Park Zoo Details
The Franklin Park Zoo is open most days. However, it is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and certain events. Announcements are made online before a closed day.
Hours for the Massachusetts Zoo are from April 1 – September 30: 10am to 5pm weekdays and 10am to 6pm weekends. Regular Franklin Zoo ticket prices are Adults: $19.95, Seniors (62 and up): $17.95, Children (2-12): $13.95 and Children under 2 are FREE.
Parking is FREE.
Picnic facilities are available for guests.
The zoo has a concession stand open year round and also a grill that is open seasonally.
For an additional charge, the zoo has a carousel, safari Jeep and train ride. These are open seasonally and are $2 a ride. In addition, the zoo has a 6-D movie ride entitled Rhino Rescue has an additional fee of $5. This ride is also a seasonal ride.
Wheelchairs are available at no charge. However, you will be required to show a current photo ID. Power chairs are available for $20 from April to October (weather permitting). Both are first come, first served. Single and double strollers are available for rent from May through October ($5 and $7).
