About Fairbanks Ice Museum

The Fairbanks Ice Museum is located in Fairbanks, Alaska. One of the rare ice museums in the United States, it offers many life-sized ice sculptures for you to see as well as ice carving demonstrations and slide shows. The demonstrations and slide show are shown at the top of every hour.

Guests can actually walk inside and touch some of the ice sculptures. This can make for some very unique and fun photo opportunities.

Fairbanks Ice Museum also has a very fast ice sled ride that will appeal to many younger ones as well as some of the older.

In the evening, the Alaska museum has an Aurora or northern lights show for its guests.  During the show, a video of the northern lights is synchronized to music. So if you haven’t gotten to see them on your own, this is a great way to enjoy them.

Every year, BP World Ice Art Championships are held in the Ice Park in Fairbanks, Alaska.  To find out more about it, check out their official website or the Ice Alaska pages on Facebook.
