About Abilene Zoo
Abilene Zoo is home to over 1,000 animals from local animals to those found around the world. Some of the animals you will see are lions, tigers, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, monkeys and ostriches. Although it is a smaller zoo, it has a large diverse animal population.
Their Reptile House has over 70 reptiles with gecko, viper, snake, turtle, chameleon and a king cobra. In addition to the zoo, there is a carousel, mining and train for additional cost.

This zoo is open every day of the year except for New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Abilene Zoo hours are: 9am – 5pm every day. Extended hours on Thursdays June thru August of 9am - 9pm.
Abilene Zoo ticket prices are: Adults $7, Children (3-12) $4.50 and Children under 3 are FREE. Seniors (over 60) $6.
Parking is FREE.
Food and beverage is available in the zoo.
There is a park (with a splashpad) by the zoo where you can have a picnic lunch.
